Why We Exist

Every day across Africa - and around the world - people die not because their conditions are untreatable, but because doctors don't have the right information at the right time.

A father dies in a roadside accident because no one knew his blood type. A child with asthma collapses at school and the attending doctor can't see what previous doctors prescribed. A pregnant woman faces life-threatening complications because her antenatal notes never reached the emergency facility.

These are not rare tragedies. They are daily realities in a world where healthcare is fragmented, records are lost, and care doesn't follow the patient.

We created OgaMedix to bridge this deadly gap.

The Problems We're Solving

Emergency Fatalities

In accidents and medical emergencies, first responders and emergency room doctors often work blind. Without knowing a patient's blood type, allergies, or existing conditions, life-saving care becomes dangerous guesswork. Every minute spent trying to piece together medical history is a minute stolen from treatment.

Lost & Fragmented Records

Across Africa, medical records are predominantly paper-based. When patients move between clinics, change cities, or need emergency care at a different facility, their health history disappears. Doctors are forced to start from scratch, often with fatal consequences.

Maternal & Child Mortality

Africa bears 70% of global maternal deaths and the highest newborn mortality rates worldwide. Many deaths occur because critical pregnancy information - previous complications, blood type, high-risk factors - isn't available to the delivering medical team.

Women's Health Neglect

Over 500 million women lack access to basic menstrual and reproductive health tools. Without proper period and fertility tracking, women face uncertainty in family planning, late detection of health conditions, and unnecessary struggles with fertility management.

Global Healthcare Access Gap

When people travel - from Lagos to London, Nairobi to New Delhi, Toronto to Dubai - they carry no portable health identity. In medical emergencies abroad, doctors in foreign countries cannot access their medical details, turning treatable conditions into life-threatening crises.
